“This little guy was such a dream to photograph during his hospital session. His parents had the most adorable bear outfit, complete with tiny ears on the hood, and a perfectly sized teddy to match. As soon as we dressed him, he curled up so naturally, clutching his little bear as if he knew exactly what we wanted him to do. He drifted right back to sleep without a fuss, which gave me the sweetest opportunity to capture this winning photo. The nurses couldn’t help but peek in to gush over how precious he looked all snuggled up. It was one of those perfect newborn moments I’ll never forget.” -Nancy Franz, Honorable Mention
This little one is truly a miracle. She spent a long time in the NICU and, if I remember correctly, was born weighing only about two pounds. On the day of her graduation session, the day she finally got to go home, she was wide awake the entire time. But right at the end, in what felt like a magical moment, she looked straight into my camera.
That one look carried so much meaning: strength, resilience, and joy. Being able to capture that expression on such a special day was an absolute honor. To witness and document the happiness of this moment, after such a long journey, is invaluable. -Toty Gutierrez, Honorable Mention
