January theme: Winter wonderland
Capture the magic of winter through a child’s eyes. Here’s a few ideas to help you get started:
- Document your child’s reaction to seeing snow fall
- Have a snowball fight
- Create winter-themed art projects indoors (e.g. making paper snowflakes)
- Splash in the puddles on a rainy day
February theme: You and your child
This month we challenge you to take a picture with your child. It doesn’t have to be glamorous to be a treasured memory. Just be in the moment together.
Ideas:
- Take a selfie while snuggling during story time
- Stop to take a picture while you complete schoolwork together
- Use a window or mirror to capture your reflections
March theme: Reading
Finally in honor of National Reading Month, we invite you to embrace the love of books and storytelling in this month’s challenge. Try these ideas, or choose one of your own.
- Photograph your child enjoying a colorful picture book
- Take a picture of your child reading to their younger sibling
- Enjoy a bedtime story that you read together
