“This was the sweetest family, and dad was so proud of his new baby. There were so many beautiful photos from this session, mostly because the family was so enthusiastic about the session, as it was their first child. This one was my favorite because of the precious capture of this new familial bond. There was a lot of love in this room. The light wasn’t bad either!” -Macy Goodnight, Bella Baby 1st Place

We love the way Macy embraced Bella Baby’s clean, simple style in this image. The soft, natural light casts a warm glow on the baby’s face while the hospital blanket and bassinet set the scene of this little one’s first moments. The simple setting draws focus to the father, gazing lovingly at his newborn. A truly magical moment. Great work, Macy!

“This baby was beginning to get fussy on his own but quickly calmed down when I got him snuggled with Momma. The room had this big corner nook with a reclining chair, so I asked mom to sit and get comfortable with baby. The early morning light was harsh but left these beautiful/dreamy shadows that captured the emotion of the snuggles. I stepped a bit behind the wall to draw the viewer’s eye to just them. It made it feel like I was peeking in on a moment that not so many Mommas get to have captured.” -Kendra Morgan, Bella Baby 2nd Place

The unique perspective and dreamy morning light create a beautifully intimate portrait of this family’s first moments with their newborn. Every hospital room is different, and we appreciate Kendra’s creativity in incorporating the layout of the room into her work. Congratulations to this beautiful couple; we hope you are enjoying all those newborn snuggles! And a huge congratulations to Kendra for this great capture!

“This was a very fun session because the mom and I realized we were both from the small suburb of Evergreen Park, IL. Both of us had moved to CO and started our families. It was a real small world moment!” -Gillian O’Brien, Bella Life 2nd Place

It’s amazing how photography can capture not just moments, but connections! Gillian experienced a “small world” moment during this session when she and the family’s mom realized they were both from Evergreen Park, IL—now building their families in Colorado. If you’re in the greater Denver area and looking for a photographer to capture the beauty of your family moments and the heart behind them, book a session with Gillian today!
