At the end of each year, we gather all the winners and ask our teams to vote for the top photo in each category. The votes are in! Check out the 2024 photos of the year below.
Bella Baby photo of the year
Allison shared this sweet story about her winning image: “When I glanced around this room I saw a stack of Instax photos that they had stacked in the window. So I politely asked about the photos and to my surprise they started capturing their birthing experience as soon as they arrived at the hospital. This stack included moments where they greeted the doctor for the first time, the team of nurses assigned to their delivery, the moment they met their newest addition, and all the visitors who stopped by to love on them! As I began placing these sweet photos around the baby nestled in the basket I knew it was going to be a magical shot! Everything aligned, and the final result will forever be one of my favorite shots!”
Allison Carpenter received 1st place in our April contest for this beautiful image. We love the creative way Allison incorporated these special elements of this family’s story into their newborn photography session. Great job Allison and congratulations on winning Photo of the Year!
Bella Baby themed photo of the year
We asked Aimee to tell us more about her winning image. Here’s the image in her words: “I love keeping my sessions simple and timeless. A bit of beautiful natural light, a soft neutral swaddle or outfit, and a tender touch that reflects the deep love and connection within a family can be incredibly powerful. My aim is to capture emotion in every image, and simplicity plays a big role in that. This sweet little one was perfectly calm and at peace in Dad’s strong, protective hands—you’d never guess this moment was taken in a small, dimly lit hospital room!
Aimee Reuter received 1st place in our 4th quarter contest at the end of 2024. We are excited to award Aimee the Themed Photo of the Year! We love the natural light and the simple, elegant way Aimee captured the connection between this dad and baby.

Here’s what Shannon said about this beautiful moment: “This is my 2nd year photographing this family. They are so beautiful! Mom, dad, and daughter are just stunning. The first time I met them at a Picture in the Park session, I thought in my head- please be yes promo! And they were! I am so thankful to be able to capture beautiful families! I love my job!!!”
