Earlier this week we shared the winners for the Bella Baby’s 2025 Photos of the Year, now we’re bringing you the winners of the first contest of 2026! January brought us many precious moments and some beautiful winter light. One photographer’s work took center stage this month with recognition for three images! Words from the January 2026 contest winners

“This beautiful family welcomed their sweet baby girl while carrying the memory of their first daughter so tenderly in their hearts. They brought the most meaningful memorabilia to the session, candles and her tiny footprint, honoring the sister who came before her. It was impossible not to feel the depth of their love in that room.
Mom and Dad were emotional in the most beautiful way, overwhelmed with gratitude for the precious angel now in their arms, while still remembering the one watching over them. I took extra time with them, allowing space for the quiet moments, the tears, the smiles, and everything in between. It was more than just a newborn session. It was love, remembrance, healing, and hope all wrapped into one. I am so honored they trusted me to tell their story.”-Nancy Franz, 1st Place

“This sweet boy was still at the hospital and already bringing so much joy to everyone around him. He was incredibly smiley during his session, giving us the happiest little expressions and making every photo feel natural and effortless. You could see how excited Mom and Dad were as they soaked in those first moments with him.
When Dad stepped in to hold him for this pose, he settled right into his arms and gave the sweetest smile. It was such a special, genuine moment to capture.”-Nancy Franz, 2nd Place

“The simplest of simple moments. This shot was a sweet little snuggle right in the middle of the nest with big sis, barely over one herself. The curiosity around the whole session and her sweet little sister is what makes this moment so dreamy. When you look into her eyes, it’s like looking into the depths of her soul … so big and gracious … it’s easy to get lost in.”
-Vicki Sands, Honorable Mention
Congratulations again to Nancy and Vicki! We appreciate your hard work and dedication to preserving these meaningful moments.
